I traveled to Donegal on a workshop with Bernard & on St Patrick’s Day 2018 went to Malin Head for what turned out to be an amazing sunset. Bernard shared his knowledge, talent & coaching skills with us over the few days & as a result I came away with a treasure trove of stunning images. Bernard is one of life’s treasures & I have a number of workshops booked with him.
I booked my first ever workshop with Bernard Geraghty landscape tours for the Isle of Skye in feb 2017. I was hesitant at first as I have been into photography for 30 years and thought “why pay this guy for a workshop when I an pretty good anyway myself”. Well am I glad I did. I have since been away with him on 5 or more occasions, the big one to Iceland, Norway booked for November and Tenerife for April. Why you may ask?!simple, my photography has improved at least 100% since my very first workshop with Bernard. His knowledge, dedication and showing how much fun photography can be is second to none. From the first minute you meet him he ensures you are relaxed and gives undivided attention when required and space when you need it.
If you are in two minds to give this tour guide a try, just do it, you won’t regret it.
My first trip with Bernard was to the Isle of Skye in Scotland in 2017. It was immediately obvious that Bernard loves what he does, his enthusiasm and good humour are infectious. His main goal is making sure that everyone who attends one of his photography tours gets the shots they want and he is always willing to provide advice and guidance. His knowledge of the best locations to get good photos in the places he visits is incredible. I also travelled to Iceland with Bernard in February this year and again his knowledge of the various shoot locations and his ability to judge the weather and lighting conditions made it a hugely enjoyable and rewarding trip for all of us. I’d have no hesitation in recommending Bernard’s tours to anyone who's interested in travelling to amazing places, improving their photography and adding great photos to their portfolio.
I traveled from Australia in 2017 for a nine day private tour with Bernard. He picked me up from Dublin airport and from the start was a perfect gentleman. The accommodation he booked (mainly B&B’s) which I requested were lovely and obviously well thought out on his behalf. Getting out to Skellig Michael was on my bucket list and Bernard managed to fulfill my dream. He took me to places unknown to the big tourist companies and the photos I returned home with are amazing. Highly recommend Bernard if travelling alone and you want to see the hidden gems of Ireland.
Bernard took us on a one-day Wicklow tour in 2017, and it was one of the best days of my life. He knows the magical spots, and helped me learn how to see better with my camera. I can't wait to go on another tour with him!
I Have been on two tours with Bernard, not only is his enthusiasm infectious but he also does his very best for each client to ensure they get the photos they want. His in-depth knowledge of the locations is great, as is the constant banter. Highly recommended!
I went to Donegal with Bernard this spring, and with his help came away with so many photos that are way better than I thought I could take. He worked nonstop to get us to gorgeous locations, outsmart the weather, and beat the sun. On our tour, Bernard struck a great balance between being serious about helping us take amazing photographs, and making sure we enjoyed the adventure that landscape photography can be. I really hope to take another tour with Bernard in the future.
I couldn’t recommend Bernard enough, I went on workshops to Kerry and Donegal with him and his professionalism is second to none. He has a great knowledge of the areas he brings the tours to and gets the most out of every situations and weather. Bernard is a great teacher too and my photography improved so much from attending his workshops. The atmosphere on the tours is light hearted and friendly and he will do his utmost to help you learn and progress while having fun!
Went to the Isle of Skye on a trip organised by Bernard - could not recommend him highly enough. He's a great facilitator, very pleasant company. Pays attention to all the details - weather, accommodation, transport, location, location, location! Considers his client's safety in all aspects of the trip. I'd love to do another trip some day.

I had the pleasure to spend the guts of a week with Bernard in Snowdonia in Wales this year and it was by far the best workshop I have ever taken. From day 1 Bernard was all about ensuring we got shots to remember. He was attentive and helpful and extremely engaging with everyone on the tour. What blew me away was his knowledge of the area. On several occasions when the weather just plain refused to co-operate Bernard was on hand with a back up location that never failed and always ensured we walked away from a location with at least one image we could he proud of. Can not recommend him highly enough and cannot wait for the next workshop next year!

I went on a workshop with Bernard at the Slieve Bloom Mountains. I love shooting long exposures as much as I can, and this workshop was perfect for that. After talking with Bernard about my settings, he advised me of some other settings to help me get better shots. Since then, I have used the settings Bernard recommended which has greatly improved my long exposure photography, I can't recommend Bernard enough, his knowledge is superb and his eye for detail is excellent. I have since booked a trip to Scotland with Bernard and looking forward to getting more tips and trick and coming home with some amazing photos.
I travelled with Bernard twice now and can’t wait to book a third trip. His knowledge of the areas we visited is second to none and he gets the best from these places no matter what the weather is like. I’ve no idea where he gets his drive and energy from but it definitely feeds through the group. From beginner to advanced he always has tips and tricks for every level of photographer. All in all it’s a 5 star experience and I’d highly recommended his tours.
Just back today from my third trip with BG landscape Tours. My first tour last year was a day trip to the Wild Atlantic Way in West Clare. I was then a total nervously toe-tipping into the world of Photography. Bernard was an absolute professional from start to finish, guiding and encouraging and making me feel good about the shots I had taken. No such think as a silly question for Bernard who will always make you feel totally part of the gang. My second trip was to the Antrim Coastline and this weekend it was the Wicklow workshop. My photography has come on in leaps and bounds since that first trip. A big thanks to Bernard who has an infectious personality and this adds a great sense of fun to the whole learning process. Each of the tours I have been on have had a great bunch of characters too! Bernard seems to know everywhere like the back of his hand and as a result you end up in the perfect location at the perfect time for that 'epic shot'. Already looking forward to the next trip with Bernard in a few months!
Well what can I say, Bernard is a real gentleman and his expertise is second to none. Went on a trip with Bernard and a great group of people, the craic we had was unreal and I enjoyed every minute of it and Bernard was always on hand to offer help and guidance when needed. Definitely one of the best things I've ever done and I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to go on one of his tours. Now I'm super excited for my next three trips with Bernard and many more adventures to come!
I have done 2 tours with Bernard, one in Kerry & one in Italy and both times I was blown away by the whole experience. I have been out shooting with him on other occasions outside of the tours/workshops and regardless of where or what it is I always come away with another piece of info from him. The workshops & tours are so much more than just a photography trip, both times I was part of a group of 6 or 7 and it was always good craic and having the banter in a relaxed atmosphere. When you see the work and effort that BG puts into the tours its then you realise why everyone comes back with epic photographs, he goes by the weather & conditions rather than locations and he never stops, even while on the workshop, checking updates & forecasts to make sure he gets you to the right spots for whats about to happen, so I can certainly say its not luck or by chance...its all down to BG himself that each outing is a whopping success. The late nights & early starts on the trips arent easy, but when the instructor is so enthusiastic & passionate about what hes doing it makes it easier on everyone to get out shooting. I have no hesitation in recommending his workshops/tours to anybody regardless of their photography level. If you have the chance, make sure you get on one. Cheers for all the help Bernard.
I attended Bernard's autumn Wicklow workshop and I enjoyed it from start to finish. Im a beginner and just took up photography at the start of the summer. Bernard brought us to locations that I had been before but this is where Bernard's expertise shone through. His tips and guidance made me look at the location differently and in the end I came away with my best ever images. There were a total of 5 participants on the workshop and Bernard made sure that each one was looked after and receiving nothing but the best tuition. I would highly recommend his workshops to anyone and I'm already planning 2019 around which ones I can attend.
I have had the privilege of attending two of Bernard’s landscape tours. The first in Killarney & the second in The Isle of Skye. I cannot recommend his courses enough. Bernard is an excellent tutor & researches his trips extensively. Whether you are a complete beginner or a more experienced photographer, you will learn a huge amount. He will take you to amazing locations, you will learn about composition, exposure, camera settings, filters, grads & so forth. Bernard goes above & beyond for his clients & his sense of humour ensures one always has mighty craic. I can’t wait for my next workshop with him in Dingle in the New Year!
